How my whole being is confused
mind and heart are at battle
can't understand but pray it eases
Time and time again
my mind aches
my heart hurts
As the conflict eases
then I realised
the mind is for business
and the heart is for affection
Though sometimes both are needed
my whole being is now at peace
not compelled by the mind
or the heart
