I prayed but the heavens hushed
In my head many thoughts rushed
Why is it always so hard for me
So hard I don't even feel free
Locked in my mental prison
Where I am a different person
But I can't take chances with him
He's kinda unstable it seems
He longs to be known like he should
He feels my fronting isn't good
He said be what and who you are
To someone you'll remain a star
There will be people writing you off
Some of them will have a laugh
Some will stay by your side regardless
They're willing to deal with the mess
Those are the important ones
They gonna love you for you
Mistakes of the past can't be undone
But to your own self you'll be true
