What if life is a rough draft?
A poet's rough draft is life, a must have.
Fighting is like quitting so I quit the fight.
Writing is like living & I live to write.
Writing is terror until its gelling.
Constant errors & misspellings.
We're editors in chief, unable to change the consequences of our choices.
Regardless of the circumstance, we can change the lenses in our voices.
People want to turn my life into the Truman Show.
So I wrote a new script, no commercials though.
I was born a rough draft, my composers tried to trash me.
Readers tried to speculate & bash me.
The draft never died, eventually grew legs & arms.
It was ripe for the picking on a lengthy farm.
My story is almost finalized, like high waters against a raft.
Patience & Endurance are the races I run, until my last breath against the wind's draft.
