Not knowing how to move past the grief,
afraid, alone and desperate for change
Prayer became my friend
Sorrow was consuming me
I was in pain
it wouldn't let me be
I prayed
and prayed some more,
I prayed to forget
I prayed for Peace of mind
I knew Grace wouldn't forsake me
I believed I could get up and face another day.
the fear was palpable though,
It almost had me down forever
Courage however, wouldn't allow it
it gently whispered to me, if you have prayed for me
then I am with you,
even if you have to do it afraid
know that I am with you
