Cracking a smile

Cracking a smile, it happens once in awhile sometimes in style but other times in denial, occasionally worthwhile but usually tactile a method of avoidance to keep a low profile; a fake smile is pure artistic style, versatile meanwhile never hostile.
A friend and a foe are two very different paintings deciding which face to show becomes incredibly draining, mind body and soul straining alongside refraining, it takes patients and constant mental training.
Occasionally exploding when things just aren't quite loading, mental state corroding it can feel somewhat foreboding, the world just seems to be imploding while emotions are eroding.
The grass is always greener in the other side but within a stride world's seem to collide recreating the divide, an ossified life where hopes and dreams only subside.
Floating though days with a vacant gaze in a constant haze lost in this maze, no one stays this must be a phase; enduring the relays and delays in this continuous daze.
When the mood is light a smile seems right, when the atmosphere is bright a smile feels like daylight full of delight without a sense of spite but all can change when the clock strikes midnight; each day brings a different fight.
