Lord, have mercy on this sinner.
For my actions bring me shame.
Try as I might to keep myself clean,
The filth comes out from within.
I suppose it makes sense since man is Dust.
And what is dust but dirt?
So a dirty mind is part of man's nature.
We are hopeless... Aside from one Fact.
You came to make us clean again.
Through water baptism our sins are erased.
I know this and remind myself once more.
But I can't grasp it, please return to me your Peace!
I'm exhausted and on a sermon binge.
Nothing they say can help for long.
Not their preaching or teaching,
Or any genre of Christian song.
I'll just have to have Silence.
Any sound is still noise.
My mind and soul must rest.
And learn to leave guilt behind.
I am Yours.
