Today's Tuesday 11:35.
Rain drops pound ceaselessly,
keeping her inside.
She relied on the presence of nature.
This cage,
formed by the tears of angels.
By her angel.
"This sound is so soothing."
She thought.
So cathartic,
for her cries will never top it.
And, absent sound,
there's no need to stop it.
Her eyes stay tethered to this tranquil rain.
It's as if each drop is plainly seen.
And, within each one,
a precious memory.
"One just splashed,
showing you when you were 3."
"Oh, and another,
of you winning your first spelling bee"
Each splash,
displaying memories of a daughter.
One no longer among us.
She remembers,
last year around this very time.
Her 11 year old daughter,
hit by car going 55 on a 35.
She remembers,
her husband's eyes.
As they bulged out of his head,
after he took his own life.
Now she just cries.
But, at least today,
its with the rain..
