I once had a dad
who spoiled me rotten
but then he died
and he'll never be forgotten
I once had a father
who was never there
he went to jail and dissapeared
they taught me to be tough
to always be strong
but it grew hard as life became rough
now I have no dad
no father figure
but their lessons I'll always remember
