long and soft
just the way you like it
rich velvet red
like blood shining in the moonlight
a hint of black
like the soal it covers up
precious as the morning dew
sparkling in the day time
I held it just for you
so that it may catch your eye when you think of me
my hear explodes
tearing me up
leading a trail over my skin
I'm broken
yet I can't remember who broke me
was it my maker?
no the doll maker is too busy for this
was it my lover?
he couldn't have broken me as much as this
was it the sky? the birds? the ocean?
no all of these are to busy to mess with this perfection
or so the maker calls me
was it the roses? the dandelions?
but the dandelions where sleeping
all of the velvet, all of the blood
it spills to the floor
the soft long red that covered me up
all disappeared
untill dull pink
it came as that
wooden skin trembles
as I look into myself
the silver edge that destroyed it
took my identity, and threw it out the window
but did I really have one?
was that velvet blood even mine?
no
it was to cover up what you had
under the silk I lay
the pain that I washed away
my naked skin can now breath
but what if that's not what I want
I tremble anyway
I hide away my pain
untill it's nothing
a blur that you just barely missed
my wooden skin
the skin that is not as flawless as it seemed all melted
from the touch you took
to the breath you blew
now that the soft red velvet has gone
I am nothing but that
the dandelions stop to gaze
for they knew what that beautiful pain is
dandelions are beautiful
but people only see that
they never see inside
the hearts of the dandelions who complement
the complement is there way of saying
I know
the roses?
they stare
they have no words
for the 'beauty' that they see is not
they don't understand
what is this? they say
now the pink
it looks down on the pink I've created
the rain it creates poors down apon it
and washes away my everything
I end up doing what the sky wants
and yet it's never happy with me
it's clouds frown down on me
yet it never sees what is wrong
it sees every thing
but yet not everything
the birds only see pieces
they are too busy to catch a glimpse
they catch one glimpse
then let it fall softly elsewhere
they never stop to truly see
they only make the rest up
but what am I to the birds?
they are too fast for me
the ocean is a different story
for the story it tells never ends
it washes other me
all over my skin
and tells me who I want to be
it washes here
and tells me I'm beautiful
it rolls over there
and tells me I'm perfect
it covers this place
and tells me it's for them
it hides this place
and suggests to keep it to myself
then the tide comes and takes it away
yes it always leaves just for the dandelions and the roses
my lover was a fleeting memory
sharing his words and listening to mine
tears have fallen
and memories where swallowed
the red that covered his hand
the black that covered his face
he's like the rest
but much much closer
then he's ripped away
like everything else
swallowed away by my pain
then swallowed up by the sleepy dandelions
this one I haven't told you yet
this one is a new story
I haven't told you because it barely happened
it's only just begun
the tender thouch
the shake and trust
no one knows
no it's all in my head
so what makes you think I'll tell you this one?
just because it's on this paper
it can be easily said
it can be easily done
yet this paper can take away everything
everything I've lost, found, and cannot forget
the gohsts that haunt me
I'm too terrifyed to even say aloud
I'll shiver and tremble
and shake and twist
before the words will ever flow from these fingertips
the words that keep me sane and tear me apart
so I cruble the pieces away
and shred them to the floor
no one will ever know
no one will ever see
because if the sky, the bird, the roses, the dandelions, the ocean, me lover, and the maker
if any of them may see then it is the end
they where the ones to take it away
they where the ones who started the mess
so as I've
no one will ever know
and no one will ever see
