I

DARKEST FRIDAY

Combatting with the muscles of sick
Door to door every hospital she knocked
Looking so ragged out and weak
As good health has shut its doors and tightly locked
Medicines could no longer be her medicines
Laying on her silent hopeful bed
Hoping only to the lord for blessings
From morn to dusk she walked through valleys of pain as she shed
There comes the day I wished to have never woke unto
A dark Friday sundown I will never forget
Though a little boy but the memory tree has grown
Seeing that cold day, I'll forever regret
She helplessly rages against her final hour
Taking notice of the roaring steps of death
As she had lost all hope and power
Knowing she is about to take her last breath
Waving the last hand in profound pains
Steering to the silent land of the fathers
Tears leaking from our eyes like rains
To mourn her the family gathers
A day that suppressed my childhood happiness
A kid begot for joy left to wallow in heartsickness
Mourning every morning and morning, mourning again
Made me a living dead man of pain
A woman I call my mom
But in reality, she is my world
She left me like a fish out of water
My eyes drained like drains, with zero words to utter.
