Within the Darkness I've lived.
Eight years within this cold,
dark hopeless world.
No light within my soul.
No warmth within my heart.
Waiting to die, hoping it's quick.
To cowardly to do the deed myself.
I turn my head, my eyes blinded
The red light shines bright.
Slicing through the absent light.
A field in the distance.
Mere footsteps away.
Light, Warmth, Happiness.
Unlike no other.
I lie within the field.
A smile on my face.
Joy in my heart.
Admiring the red flowers.
Their beauty like no other.
I sip from there nectar.
Relief from my pain.
I lie within the field.
Love at last.
