De-coupling From Him

Take my dream away,
and see me stay.
Trap my heart in sight,
and take your greatest bite.
You trap me in a cage,
made of gold that's beige.
Your anger and deceit,
i finally returned the receipt.
I left you in my fearing state,
even if my letter is late.
I'm not looking over my shoulder,
even if your words are on the border.
I ask you to show me proof,
of a lie so far from truth.
There i go again fantasizing,
thinking it was my fault for not being tantalizing.
But i remember sowing seeds,
that looked more like reeds.
Can i start all over and forget?
For now there truly is no regret.
Without you i am healthy and strong,
because i know your mean words were wrong.
I am not alone and this and got a life,
my cat and coffee are my strife.
