I

Dear Death

He is everywhere yet no one sees him
He whispers in our ears 'Bless you.' when we sneeze
He is in every corner of the room
Waiting, eagerly checking his time
We think of him as misfortune
But, good fortune comes from him
He is a lesson to be learnt
And a crown to be earned
We owe him all we have
We toil day and night to meet him
Every minute, second, hour counts
Counting, drawning us closer to him
Erthenal bliss and peace
Are the only gifts he's got
Rest from toils and works
He gives to the deserving
Life is about obtaining and losing
One gives and one takes
Predetermined? We know not
Alas, our efforts against him come to naught
