Dear God
Why was he in my bed last night?
Why did he hold my hand today?
Why is he speaking for me Lord?
I'm afraid he's here to stay
He's been judging my art
He didn't point out my fear
He liked to manifest the parasites
And caused my ink to smear
I feel so cold
I tried to light the torch
I tempted his heart of ebony
And watched his voice of silence contort
An omen
An omen of whom I met
I looked just like him
He didn't even know it yet
I could cut off his skin
And he could cut off mine
Maybe he'll see no difference
Between the blood and the wine
Dear God
He's been here for some time now
It grew on me, his wicked grin
The devil made himself at home
I think I'll keep him.
