Here’s to being 17. To accepting the darkest nights with a ray of sunlight on your face. To never regretting love. To letting go. To staring at the mirror because it reminds you how nothing else matters as long as there’s a smile on your face and how these beautiful eyes carry the whole world inside them.
The last two- three year has been pretty harsh on this world. And I’m glad that you sympathise with everyone who lost their loved ones, business, or anything else during the pandemic.
But it’s crazy how one thing can affect someone in such a negative way, and on the other hand, bring magic into the life of someone else. Yes! I’m talking about you. It’s almost unbelievable how much you’ve transformed during the pandemic.
Just a year ago, you were so obsessed with someone that you didn’t even realise that taking care of yourself is the foremost thing that a person should do. Letting someone go is the hardest thing that one has to deal with, but I’m glad you dealt with it in such a wonderful manner.
You’ve achieved so much this year. I mean, just look at your body. How incredibly you’ve become stronger by doing home workouts and meditating in the morning. Your body thank you for taking care of it and for showing yourself what you deserve.
When you stand in front of a mirror these days, your eyes twinkle in surprise. I mean, who could’ve thought that you would be such a confident person one day? Who could’ve thought that your body will look like it does today? Thank you for working on yourself. Thank you for being scared of things and yet, doing them. Thank you for loving yourself a million times more than you’ve ever loved someone else. And thank you for not craving love like you used to do it a year ago on the same day.
There are so many things to be done, so many friends to have, thousands of books to read, a million things to write, so many people to love, and without any doubt, so much sex to have. And it’s incredible to see the excitement in your eyes for this new journey.
