A Christian she was
reading to me the Bible everyday
in pain she was
but she pushed on and on
a smile she wore
calmed my heart
whenever I got roughed up
in her arms I would wail
to as how much I owe
I can't tell
older and older she grew
the Bible by her side
how proud she was
that her son was now in a suit
as I entered the house
