Dear Society

Downgraded
Miserable
Lost
The words are written on my skin
Because society deems them fit
To rule me
as the words hang down like a noose  off of the ceiling
Inviting me to kick over my last standing breath
Dear society
You did this to me
You gave me pills and promises
Calling me imperfect
Keeping my last strains of sanity
To your self
Dear society
Did u like it when you took away my safety net
Did u like it when u ripped my clothes to shreds
Dreaming  me a whore because of my large breast
Naked
I stand before you
You have riped out my beauty
And made me unworthy
Allowing the males of our society
To have free say over our bodies
Dear society
Did you know I was a sickly child
Sickly as in I was sick of you
Sick of your games
So I played hooky just to get away from you
You give us standards to live up to
A role model we should behold
But I am not fooled
By your benevolent tricks
I am not afraid of your wicked sweet grin
I am not going to hide my self away
Locked behind the cupboard
Shaking in my boots
No, I am the one that will change you
I am the knife to your wings
I am the clown beneath your bed
And I
Will never
Back down
Dear society
Misshapen is my body to you
Your words like knives
I still stand
With a battered body
I still stand
Gauging my happiness at every turn
Gets tiring
But I keep going
I will be the one that makes you cry at night
To strip you down and make you bare
To everyone
I am weak  to you
But I am strong to me
And
I
Will
Never
Back
Down
