Something ill has happened to them
Things so great that I cannot weep;
They have no son to keep the lamp warm when they die
And no daughters to keep the house lively when
They close their mouth
The rain has beaten the
And the sun has dried them up
They shall go beyond and rest
They have wandered in the wilderness
The great wilderness we call “life”
Let those gone before take note
That the tree on which they lean is fallen
And the tree have been eaten by termites
What is the wailing about?
Somebody is dead. They have done evil
And death has made war upon their household
And those who dared to look in his face
Have come out as “men”
