Death has taken leave, a respite it seeks,
As the Reaper restores before the next streaks.
Gone is the somber cloak, soul's final fate,
In tranquil abode, Death does meditate.
Cemeteries sigh, devoid of despair,
No mournful cries, just a gentle air.
Life's hourglass paused, the ticking ceased,
Harvesting of souls, momentarily deceased.
No eternal slumber, no scythe to keep,
A temporal hiatus, where dreams seep.
Destinies unresolved, suspend in time,
Unfulfilled sorrows, suspended sublime.
Resting in darkness, devoid of strife,
The Reaper rejuvenates, embracing life.
Absence of dread, a newfound peace,
As Death finds solace, seeking release.
For even the Reaper, tireless and true,
Craves moments respite, just like me and you.
