Please tell me how you really feel,
For just an inkling could this be real?
Your hands shaking as if they have betrayed you,
A victim in your grasp staying calm no matter what you do.
Could she really take all the pain?
If she does could her soul be won as gain?
Her eyes stare at the ceiling,
Her face shows no emotion.
You want to hear the slightest noise,
But everything you've done has kept her quiet.
This is truly no fun,
There's no struggle, no fight.
She won't even have the chance,
You won't let her live through the night.
Tomorrow she will be forgotten,
Another will take her place.
With doe eyes showing true fear,
She will fight, scream, struggle, but the noise will fall on deaf ears.
She'll whisper to you how she'll do anything you want her to if you will let her go,
That crazy little lie they tell ' if you set me free no one will ever know'.
You place the rope tightly between her teeth,
She will be the noisest in this time of sheer need.
She moves away as your hands begin to touch,
Her eyes are silently pleading as she finds this to be too much.
As she lays her head back on the table,
The feeling of pure surrender washes over.
She is so tired,
Her eyes start to close.
This is the part you start to question if she knows?
Tonight she is living on borrowed breath,
When you finish here,
You will prepare her for the meeting with death.
His hand will be kinder than yours,
His touch will be more inviting.
He will come for her soon you suspect,
It will all come down to timing.
He will take her to safety,
Where as you will only inflict harm.
He will look at you in disgust.
As you hold another by the arm.
He will sit silently by,
Watching as she calmly draws her last breath.
Then he will greet her soul,
His hand will be kinder but colder none the less.
