Deaths Dance

Just to touch her takes the life out of me.
And in part we
Simultaneously
A conspirator and a conspiritee
The tranquillity
And my legacy
Yes... You dance with death
I grip you with every step
And I gave you your last breath
Your on barrowed time
I leaned in whispered and said
It is to my field
To your soul
Of my hunger
Terms we be we'd
And while we dance
You get the chance
To change the outcome
When I come to shadow you
On earth, you are done...
So take this last minute
To ask the meaning of life
So many of you look to the sun.
Some of us choose the night
Death it be the father
And Love the nurturing light
Darkness is daughter
That fades the sight
To the greener grass on the other side
Where the rest of the people are combined and intwined
But every foot print in time
That just may. Catch the eye
Off a little to the side
Look into these eyes of mine
I make love to your mind
So you don't feel the body die.
For deaths been dealt
Creeping up from behind.
