A cup of hope, decaffeinated
A bitter cup, but still elated
No jolt of energy to propel
But still a gentle comfort to quell
The world is hard and life is tough
But this cup of hope is just enough
To fill the heart with a bit of cheer
To still the soul, for there is fear

It soothes the soul and lifts the heart
