Deceit in a fairytale

Deceit in a fairytale
Silence sits between us—
words we never said,
truths we were too scared to face.

Just because light still lingers
doesn’t mean the darkness ever left.
I kept hoping love would be enough,
but now you’re feeding on lies
and drinking from the well of deceit.

The one I once called
the apple of my eye
has led me into blindness—
I can’t see the future,
I can barely see myself.

Tell me…
is this the love they write in fairytales,
or just another story
that ends before it ever begins?
