Hope is what we see in the eyes of street beggars
As they roam about searching for a source of survival
Hope is what we hear in the words of an expectant mother
As she prepares tirelessly for the coming of her little one
Hope is what we see in the stride of an unemployed man
As he walks hard towards finding a good job
Hope is what makes all pray and want to see tomorrow
Hope is the beginning of all great feats
Hope indeed is a great virtue for all to emulate
But most of all,
Hope births determination
And with determination we soar to heights unknown
