I

Delusional

Delusional, wandering mind,
In search of truths you'll never find.
Lost in a world of make-believe,
Where fantasies are all you receive.
Crying out to a distant shore,
In dreams of love forevermore.
Yet love eludes your desperate grasp,
Leaving you in a never-ending clasp.
But still you chase the unattainable,
Like a moth drawn to a burning bull.
For love, they say, can conquer all,
But it only seems to make you fall.
Fall into depths of despair and pain,
As the illusion breaks, goes down the drain.
And you're left with nothing but emptiness,
A hollow heart, a broken mess.
But still you cling to the hope of yesterday,
A glimmer of light in the darkest of gray.
In dreams you find solace and escape,
Where reality and fantasy intercrape.
Your mind takes you on a wild adventure,
Through landscapes of love and sweet rapture.
But in the end, you know it's all in your head,
A delusion that keeps you from being dead.
So you dance to the tune of your own insanity,
A chaotic symphony of lost humanity.
In search of meaning, of purpose, of truth,
While the world stands by, aloof.
Delusional, wandering mind,
You'll continue on, never to find
The love and peace you so desperately seek,
As you navigate life's journey, ever meek.
