A path that leads to endless shame.
Refusing to accept the truth,
Only serves to rob us of our youth.
We build up walls to protect our lies,
Ignoring reality until it dies.
But, deep down we know the cost,
Of living our lives forever lost.
The pain we feel, we try to hide,
But it eats away at us inside.
To live in denial is to live a lie.
A life that will inevitably die.
Face the truth today,
And, seize the chance to find your way.
For though the journey may be rough,
The reward is worth it, that's enough.
