Since that day we parted

I've become like a desert

Dry , barren and desolate

Without your love it hurts

Like the surface of Mars

It's so hard to breathe

You were my life support

Why did you have to leave?

Like an abandoned building

Crumbling and broken down

You left me to rot indefinitely

Soon falling right to the ground

My heart has a giant hole now

An immense space that still grows

Empty , desolate with little hope

Nothing else left and it shows

If you could return for a second

It would be a wonderful gift

My heart would beat rapidly
