locked within a box
of what i am not
what i have been
and what i can’t spot
misconceptions of reality
the intolerable perceptions of my physicality
all that i discover
as my bones begin to rot—
destruction i cause
in a world down under
a cloud; possesses me
as the thunder broils sober—
isolation my medication
but with you i can’t hide
so i tear down the walls
i have built in my mind
not open for the many
but only yours truly
the sun never touched me
as well as your touch
never opened my eyes
to the world and its beauty
