I saw you in kindergarten
in our small bodies we built
love so higher than the skies
with small hearts pumping fast
our love we made strong
this was beyond normal
small heads but our minds
our brains bigger
our young affection detonated
a single foreign touch an explosion
you validated our love under blue skies
so many letters you typed
in all kinds of ink
sealed in envelopes most of
which I responded to in silence
we started this for a perfect destination
the days were fruitful
we lived in utopia till then
you vacated our separation
vagary it was but I still had you
limitations grew but you generously
lived I still have you at heart
a promise we made to destiny.
