A drop of water rolls down my cheek
Is is rain?
Is it the ocean giving me its anger?
Is it-
No.. Not for him. Not for anyone
The ocean waters pelt the cliff
Aided by the howling wind
The rain, adding to the swell
It's a hurricane-
But I came here for silence
Silence from my thoughts
Ones that will help me
To jump off this cliff
The wind howls in my ears,
Ocean waves threaten to sweep me off the ledge
Rain piercing my nightgown
Bruising my pale skin
But it keeps me away from him
From them
From me.
Then
A wave
It tumbles down upon the cliff, swallowing me with it
Taking me into its cold embrace
I smile
For the ocean did what I couldn't do
It took me away
