Distant

Close but yet so distant

Near but so far away

Crystal clear view

But the focus will not stay

I want to reach out

And hold you forever

But seems like a force field

Invisible but keeps us severed

At times your eyes are inviting

At the same time say beware

Telling me to come inside

Then saying I'm not prepared

Attracted like two magnets

Between a transparent wall

Wanting to come together

But then things begin to stall

The signs say stop and go

On a road that twists and turns

Hoping it leads to you at the end

Because my heart it just burns
