We all know that monsters creep around in the basement.
Whether it's the monsters in our heads, or the ones that were sent.
We see them in our nightmares,
Chasing us, just for the scare.
We never really know what they want from us.
But it definitely isn't love.
So we just let them be,
Hoping they leave our memories free.
But they creep and they crawl..
Til they scare us all.
Sometimes it's just all in the head.
At night when we go to bed.
We think we may have a beautiful dream.
But we wake up in a nasty scream.
Nightmares come and go..
Just like that horrific picture show.
You will always see mirrors on the wall.
Especially those old ones, creepy and all.
When you look into the mirror, a face appears.
All you feel is fear...
That's when the monsters got you where they want you.
Awake from this nightmare with one more clue.
If you sleep...
You are theirs to keep...
