I first notice his eyes
They would stare me down making me feel scared inside
The first sign of anger
The first sign of hate
The first hit he gave me with out making no mistakes
I said to myself No No this is not ok
But yet am too scared to leave
Because no one will believe
So I made excuses
So I denied all questions
So I lied about it all so no one would think it's all for attention
But know I must say I am happy to be here today
It's been 8 years since this happen I survived it all
I survived domestic violence
And lived to tell it all.
