That we should never apologize for

And the paths we choose to explore
Love is a beautiful thing
And it should be embraced with pride

Saying no can be empowering
It's a sign of self-respect and care
No need to feel guilty or selfish
For setting boundaries and being aware
Following our dreams is important
It's what keeps us alive and inspired

From the path we are meant to acquire
Taking "me" time is essential
For our well-being and inner peace
No need to feel ashamed or sorry
For putting ourselves first, at ease
Our priorities are unique
And should be honored and valued
No need to apologize or explain
To those who don't understand or approve
Ending a toxic relationship
Is an act of self-love and growth
No need to apologize or justify
For letting go of what no longer serves us both
Our imperfections are part of us
And make us unique and real
No need to apologize or hide
For what makes us who we truly feel
Standing our ground is vital
When our values are being challenged
No need to apologize or surrender
For what we believe and want to defend
Delay in our response is okay
Sometimes life gets in the way
No need to apologize or feel guilty
For taking the time we need to convey
Telling the truth is courageous
Even when it's hard and uncomfortable
No need to apologize or fear
For being honest and accountable
So let us embrace who we are
And what we stand for and believe
No need to apologize or diminish
