Where darkness has reached
Yet, I do not know
Where I have existed too long,
Without the comfort of sight,
I fail to remember
The warmth of the light,
In a room of blazing heat,
Still, no fire the senses can see
My courage, my defiance,
With vigor, with fight,
The specter to unbind
Scared to death, affright
Reaching for myself,
To lead me from this night.
