Dormant love...

And late that night,
Contemplating the same moon,
In cities different-
You query me about love.
A gust of zephyr caresses my face
As I stand immobilized in the terrace
Old memories oozing out
Of my palpitating heart in opulence.
The scalding flames of a love long lost
Reduced to ashes grey ,gets kindled anew.
A pang of twinge conceives inside
Ushering the eyes into a pool of salty tears.
Why did you leave ,I crave to ask
But seal my tear laced lips.
The same butterflies flutter in my stomach
Hearing his dulcet voice after decades this night.
His warm embrace I still crave
That pair of deep eyes I still pine to explore.
Futile I comprehend -
For our flames to be set ablaze
Like old times, in our salad days.
For scars rest glistening raw
In the heart's assorted pieces.
'I am Impotent of love'
I finally answer him....
