Dragon Boy

I saw a boy upon a wall.
He sat and stared into the night.
He remained, straight and tall,
Eyes ablaze with some strange light.
Face so very young,
Yet eyes so very old.
Upon his shoulders hung
Stories, many yet untold.
Here I saw an ancient boy
Residing in a younger frame.
It seemed to be his pride and joy
To be the one that none could tame.
He should not here at all reside.
For he belongs to all the wild.
Can such small bones ever hid
The soul of a beast, of a dragon child?
