I

Dreams Of The One's Yet Born

We seem more fixated on fiction in a glass box
Reality isn't always as it seems
Dare to dream and they will call your vision a tantrum
Glaring at each other
Like we don't already know where we come from
Dare to dream if you can
I soiled my garments
So I ripped it and with the peasants, I became one
Kings, but have never felt the touch of a sceptre
No, not even once
Dare to dream I say
Soon all enlightenment will be damned with the carcass of the ones sent to decay
Self-righteousness but we've removed our intestines and filled them with stacks of hay
Remove those sunglasses and see us for what we are, this I pray
Ancient wisdom buried with the remains of mother  nature
Protect the earth we preach
Yet we have killed them with tongues as sharp as a razor
Sealed and concealed under the pretence of modern-day labour.
Scream!
Let the earth hear you
Let the ones passed on flow endlessly through this stream
Do you dare to ask what I mean?
Turn and see for yourself
See how glorious they used to look
The dreams passed on from generation to generation
The hopes of many nations
Let this war end here
Enough is enough
I will carry the scars of the ones yet unborn
Burden me with your woes
Let me be the carrier of your enraged souls
Watch me smile as I watch you grow
It is ok to dream one more time
It is their time to shine
The new generation is always better
I sure hope that's the case
I just want to be a witness to the ones yet unborn
