Dreams of Tomorrow

The night closes in,
The Darkness creeps upon the unwary.
Yet we aren't afraid of it,
Because in the light, we do tary.
For not much longer we will hold,
Our hopes of tomorrow untold.
I wish to be with you today,
But I must keep my dreams at bay.
For when we choose to dream,
There is no reality it would seem.
But when we think,
It is our hearts, that yearn to blink.
So tomorrow, my untold hopes will live on.
Unmarred by the dreams I do not long,
and not scarred by the love of wrong.
I will hope,
because it is the only rope,
that holds my heart in place.
In this long race,
of life.

This is the first poem I ever wrote, and I think only @artcansave and @cranberry have read it. I hope you enjoy it!!
