only to find I'm falling on the floor again
farther and farther I drift away
will anything satisfy me?
I find myself alone and broken
like a single crippled leaf falling off a tree
still I'm here but so many words left unspoken

a leaf so delicate it's hard to stay
leaving behind the ones who cared
I can't ever tell them I'm truly scared
afraid of my actions and what comes to mind
its only in time that our hearts will bind
a leaf drifting slowly but another one follows
it's only in this direction my love isn't hollow
drifting apart but so easily hurt
so delicate and fragile my life is just beginning
drifting so far and the whistling of the wind still singing
