My brother must've been helping our Mom because death I had in sight

Depression had a lockjaw on me It took one hell of a bite
One half laid in the darkness I created with fright
The other half barely holding on in the love that gave me light
Praying and fighting through this battle cuz the end is near and in site
Because this fire under me I'm trying to ignite
Fighting with these demons was worse than a bullfight
Stepped out the gates of hell and stepped into the daylight
Because I've scraped and licked the plate and it still didn't fill my appetite
Like the man of steel except this man has no kryptonite
