Dumb

Dumb
Twas twilight I seek and reek
From my dreams, I coloured green
Beneath the earth I lay sick
Watching as the fog freeze through my screen

At seventeen I was the brightest young teen
Upon honors I stumbled, upon records they grumbled
Upon the mountains I traverse, while reading a verse
I knew I was the best, at least different from the rest

At two double zero, I'm the fifth in the line
While waiting for the sixth, I peel my own lime
My eyes are blurry, my memories gone without a dime
Upon honors did I trip, upon sorrows did I creep

Now when it's night time and all the kids are asleep
I listen as my trophies as they tell me a story
While the waters have gone cold, remember the fish that leap
Put on your crown, for you are glory.
