Dusty Sandals

Dusty Sandals
"Did you ever really need them?"
The cobbler smirked to the wanderer
Adventures sure take a new turn with those feet flying high in the air
"With each step"
The wanderer nods in reply
" My foot steps are not so steady on,
As the one I'm following the prints of"
A pin and a sew
Cork beds to hold the striving stories onwards
"Make em last another story or two.
I'll be back before the clock strikes the Lord's evening moon"
A bottle of wine poured in advance
Buckled down to a memory
Of a preacher man, in missionary fields of far off lands
Looking to roll this world
One step at a time

Shake off those dusty Sandals dear one
It's time for a blood, sweat, and spit shine
