On this day many years ago,
Lord Jesus Christ for our sins,
gladly sacrificed his life,
for you and me upon a cross.
He rose again after three days,
so eggs are the symbol of his empty tomb,
it's a reminder of him rising again,
just like the birds hatching from their eggs.
Easter eggs are not empty,
they are full of love for you,
and to you they want to say,
Jesus loves you too.
Easter is the time to celebrate,
with your friends and family,
the rebirth of Lord Jesus,
spreading happiness all around.
