Embrace Your Perfect Imperfections

I was once fragmented
like the cracks in the mirror
Longing to be invisible
Self- deprecating and insecure
Bullies came to use me
As their clueless laughing stock
They seemed to shine like gems
and I felt like a rock.
One day, I awakened. The future flashed before me
I ran my destiny. I made my identity
My cynics tried to pull me. They wished to see me fall
I weighed my wits and scars. I won and risked it all.
My strengths tossed me up. My sufferings made me strong
I embraced my Imperfections. God never made them wrong
For the tears that flowed and dried
turned as smiles that inspired others
Indeed our sparkling moments
are on the other side of fears.
