END

Sitting on the edge of my bed,
At the age of twenty five,
Wanting to end my life,
With a gun and a knife,
Pills and razors.
I sat there drafting my suicide note,
As tears rolled down my cheeks,
Mixing with the ink on my paper,
What a mess I was.
As I was about to pull the trigger,
"Stoooooooooooooooooooop"
I heard a voice,
So loud enough to awaken the dead,
The voice so strange and unfamiliar,
Still confused I looked around
But there was no one around.
I had locked my self in my house,
No one could see what was within,
Still in shock,
I heard the voice again,
This time a little calmer,
This time so slow and melodious.
"I've seen you suffer, and I've come to your rescue, don't end your life, it's not worth it, just have faith in me, and everything will be alright. You are not alone, I got you, don't be scared I'm with you.
Then I saw this light that shone so bright,
In front of my eyes,
I saw her,
In a snow white long gown,
With beautiful wings,
With a killer smile,
"I'm your guidan angel"
She whispered then disappeared.
I came back to my senses,
This time with so much hope
And strength to face everything,
I threw away all the razors,
Returned the gun where I found it,
And threw all my pills in the pit latrine.
I felt alive
And strong,
Mighty
And powerful,
I was ready to face the world,
I was ready to chase my dreams,
I was prepared to be what I've always wanted to be,
And I made sure
I never turned back.
