Beyond dark days
Do you remember when?
When we cried out in our pain
We thought life should come to an end.
But He saw something better for us
Something we could not see
He saw someday good for us
Good times every day
No one said it would be this bad
What good is it to complain?
No one said man could be so sad
You'd think one has gone insane
But they say light comes after dawn
The dark will give of it's reign
There's One who molds night with the sun
To Him we will gladly sing:
Darkened days and troubled nights
Enter each your threshold bare
The Truth and Light comes with a price
No one said this life was fair
But take a dip, rinse through the fire
Prove the devil just a liar
Endure your trials as did Job
Know you too are not alone
Together we will pass our tests prepared...
Integrity to Him be our final prayer
We broke it down
Read every book.
Lost for words for what we mistook
Were we the villains?
Is this our curse?
"No good deed goes unpunished"
Please show me where's that verse?
We made a call out to the universe...
Loss of faith
Loss of worth
Crazy thoughts
Regretted words...
Prayers we wish we had not dared to say.
Among it all, what we still can't believe
How great a Threshold is His mercy.
We take it all back for this one more plea:
Darkened days and troubled nights
Enter each your threshold bare
The Truth and Light comes with a price
No one said this life was fair
But take a dip, rinse through the fire
Prove the devil just a liar
Endure your trials as did Job
Know you too are not alone
Together we will pass our tests prepared...
Integrity to Him be our final prayer
Enter His Threshold
May Integrity to Him be our final prayer...
We will each be tested... as long as one wants to do good, there will be someone out there to demand we prove it.
During those times, we might actually fail the tests too. Integrity like Job's is a virtue indeed. But heck... we're all failures already, aren't we? But... Does God perhaps enable us to have retakes on the test?
If you have ever felt like it is already too late to be virtuous, and to have this thing called "integrity" by the time you go down into the grave, may it be considered...
just how great is the threshold of His mercy?
It must be pretty great for us to still be here...
And maybe...
if that's the case,
it's not too late to build that integrity
up unto the day
it be our final prayer.
Until the new day, when the fire we've gone through from this hell on Earth we bare today, makes us into the strong and valuable metals He knows we can become
to sculpt the world into something good and new by His own command.
Let's be strong and be ready to endure,
knowing He is with us every step of the way.
love and peace.
