I thought that we are born equal,
And lived in that thought,
Until I stepped out of my house to see,
That some people were strong and some were weak,
Or was that only in my mind?
Some were hiding their bodies in disgust,
While others were looking at them with lust,
I thought that we are born equal,
Or was that just a thought?
One day someone asked me,
If I would be his date,
Only if I tell my figure,
I couldn’t figure to figure what this figure meant,
Until he told me that it was the physic that I carried with me,
Along with my heart, mind and soul,
The courtesy of manners defended me,
to ask him the same question again,
And I thought that we are born equal,
Or was that just a thought?
I lived with a little hope from the mankind,
Then,
I was told that I am born beautiful,
And the size of the body and complexion doesn’t matter.
Then why was I teased if I was little short,
And I wore hills till my legs hurt,
I wasn't slim,
Neither were my eyes big,
Nor were lips pink,
In the places that I ever crossed or lived?
I thought that the beauty lies in the eyes,
And we were born equal,
Or was that just a thought?
I wonder whom would we please,
Or would seek pleasure from,
If the world was blind?
I think, if we could give this thought a thought,
Probably, my thoughts wouldn't remain as thoughts!
