Erase all my dreams
And take everything
My mind is wandering
Inconsistent it seems
Evil slips in as I sleep
And takes me places
That are dark and deep
And I'm defenseless
Vulnerable and afraid
I'm part of a parade
But I can't even fight
In the absence of light
Unwillingly I succumb
I'm completely numb
In the realm of screams
And nightmarish dreams
I wish not to remember
All my nightly terrors
Just one night of sleep
Without going to the deep
