Eternal Wait

By Simeon Austin David Pangu
Every day I'm searching
For a glimpse of something real
In a world so unforgiving
It's the only way I feel
Sometimes on a lonely road
I'm lost in thoughts unclear
But I try to keep on moving
And face what I most fear
Words are powerful, they say
But talk is cheap, it seems
I hold my dreams so closely
And hope they're more than just schemes
Life can be a melancholy song
Full of pain and strife
But I hold on to memories
Of a time I felt alive
Sometimes on a starry night
I wonder what it's all for
The world can be so cold and dark
But I keep searching for more
Every day I'm searching
For a glimpse of something true
And though the road is long and hard
I won't give up on what I pursue
I remember the joys of youth
And the love that once was born
We may be shaped by our experiences
But we're not just products of the storm.
